S... is for sale!

So, today is a Monday holiday.  I was not planning on doing an official blog post, but changed my mind!  Not only are holiday weekends great because you get an extra day to sit in your pajamas, but there are great sales in stores and online!  I thought EVERYONE knew about online sample sales at this point, but it came to my recent attention that some of my coolest friends were not "in the know".  I thought I would share an overview of my favorite online sample sale sites.  You can get some AMAZING deals.

What is an online sample sale?  It is a "sell off" of designer goods at a discount price.  Quantities are limited, so it is first come first serve.    Sales open at a particular time (i.e. 12 noon EST).  The good stuff goes quickly!  These events are "invite only" as in you have to be a member, but it is pretty easy to get an "invite".  You are invited by me if you use any of the links below! :)  There are a TON of sites now, but I am only going to share my favorites.

Okay, I know I promised you capes last week after debuting my new green Gossip Girlesque cape .  I love capes.  They are so easy to throw on (literally).  I especially love wearing over a suit so I don't feel so stuffed into jackets... you know what I mean?  But, I live in my capes on the weekend.   In my book a cape is a must have right now.... although in Boston it is soon to be very cold so layer layer layer. D....Dreams!

Okay... Dreams really do come true.  Since I have lived in my house I dreamed of a cute shed off on the side of our house (not in the center of our yard).  I wanted a shed that was cute and functional and has windows for light.   I could go on and on.  I never dreamed that my dream would come true... thanks to my husband and father-in-law.  Over the course of two weeks, I watched a miraculous shed appear. This fall we had a fence company move the side perimeter of our fence... hoping we could put a small shed over there in our new "side yard".  While they were at it... we had them put in a gate to the sidewalk... accessibility is key. The husband has had some free time on his hands and finally got down to focusing on the shed.  They seriously built this in TWO weeks! Check it out!  This is the space we were "saving" for the shed!
